“Therapy gives clients a safe relationship in which to explore their inner world and to consider taking risks in their external one.” - Mary Pipher
**Now Accepting New Couples Clients**
Hi, I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor for couples and individual adults. I love meeting with clients and am honored to be welcomed into some of the most vulnerable parts of your life. I strive to create a balance between supporting and challenging you to foster growth during our time together.
When working with couples I use the PACT (The Psychobiological Approach to Couples Counseling). I am so excited about this model of couples therapy because it is really about the couple learning to interact with each other in a more helpful way in the moment. Not just talking about what happened during the week but learning to be with each other in the moment, during session in a way that is more workable.
With individuals I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Somatic Experiences (SE) and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I work to help you to relate to your thoughts, emotions, physical sensations and memories in more helpful ways. Instead of just talking about what happened, I aim to create opportunity for perspective taking and feeling into and having new experiences with difficult thoughts, emotions, sensations and memories.
